What's the benefit?

Whether you are an individual, an employee or a company, fuel cards are a simple and very effective way to save money when you fill up. There are many different options and our dedicated account managers will make sure you get the card the best for you.

How do they save money?

By using a fuel card, you pay a discounted price (fixed weekly) when you fill up, rather than what it says at the pump. This discounted price is secured by the card supplier, because they buy fuel in bulk and passed on to you whenever you use your card.

But what is a fuel card?

Fuel cards work like a charge card, however you only use them for buying fuel. You get a PIN for security, use your card(s) to buy on credit, and afterwards you pay a single invoice for all of your fuel transactions each week or month by direct debit. You can also choose from a variety of different fuel cards and pricing tariffs to suit your requirements.

Are they secure?

Most of our fuel cards are PIN protected and are a much safer payment method than cash. What’s more, you can set fuel alerts in Velocity to ensure you are notified of any suspicious transactions.

Where can I use my fuel card?

Every fuel card has a set of network of sites where it can be used, but some cards can be used across multiple networks. Fuel card networks can provide local, national or international coverage depending on your requirements.

Where can I find invoices?

This is dependant on your provider, using our free-to-use tool can help you get the best price for your personal circumstances. Each provider has a portal specific to them where you can easily and efficiently download all invoices for your accounts.

On UK fuels it says there is a small fee for not using the card, is this the same if it is bought through BBS?

No, as a comparison website we have brokered specific deals which include a great discount and no additional charges.

Can I have a fuel card without a business?

This is a common misconception and our most frequently asked question. Yes, you can have a fuel card without a business. Simply type N/A in the company fields upon application or let a team member know during the process.

Can people have more than one card on the account under two different names and pay off one invoice at the end of the month?

Yes, you can have more than one card under one account. This would be a multi-vehicle option. If you’re having problems setting this up through your preferred provider, please email help@wearebbs.co.uk and we will be happy to help.

What if I apply for a card and then decide not to use it?

This is your prerogative, if you do not use it, you will not benefit from the savings of course.

Can I use a fuel card anywhere?

Each fuel card has a network of stations they are valid at covering 10’s of thousands of stations across the U.K. If you consider your location to be remote, we would suggest contacting ourselves on XXX or help@wearebbs.co.uk .
